A talented and versatile actor, Nathaniel Marston has worked in many different acting genres over the course of his career. From commercials to films, a stint on a prime time series to his role on the daytime drama One Life to Live, Nathaniel continues to impress critics and fans alike with his honest and intense performances.
Born on July 9, 1975, in Torrington, CT, Nathaniel lived in several states with his mother Elizabeth, an aspiring actress, before moving to Kauai, HI, at the age of five. When he was ten, they moved to San Diego, CA. During the next several years he lived in Los Angeles, CA and New York, returning to Los Angeles where he graduated from Beverly Hills High School.
While working at a Beverly Hills bakery, Nathaniel was “discovered” by a customer who happened to be an agent for William Morris. After appearing in several commercials, he was cast as Rosario Cappamezza in the feature film Love Is All There Is, followed by a role in the film The Craft. He then became a regular in the television series Educating Matt Waters.
In 1998, Nathaniel joined the cast of the daytime drama As the World Turns as Eddie Silva, a role which earned him a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Male Newcomer. He left the show in January 1999. He went on to complete two feature films, Ordinary Sinner and Ciao America, and played a reporter in the cable television movie Monday Night Mayhem.
In December 2001 he took on the role of Al Holden on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. Although the character of Al was killed off in September 2003, Nathaniel returned to the show as a new character, Dr. Michael McBain, after fans protested, clamoring for his return. He left the show in November 2007. Nathaniel guest starred as Brent Latimer on Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit in November 2008. He also guest starred as Thomas Loge in a March 2010 episode of USA's White Collar.
On the personal side, Nathaniel has one brother, Ikaika Birtodaso, a stepfather / Dad, Ali Martin Birtodaso and four half-siblings from his biological father. He resides in New York City with his wife Rita. His hobbies include restoring classic cars and weight training.
